LWC Web Tags Reference


This page details LWC tags that can be used in custom web pages. The web tags here are generated by LWC V2.00, Build 2111 on a Mac Mini (Intel) running Mac OS X 10.6.4 with 1 Gigabyte of RAM. The webcam is a Logitec 9000 Pro.

Latest Update 27 Jun 2010: Added WDTEXT$ and BTTEXT$

LWC tags are case sensitive and end in a dollar symbol "$". For example WCAM$ is correct whereas wcam$ is incorrect and will not work. Where a tag takes parameters, there must be no spaces between the tag and parameter or between successive parameters.

As this is a test page, it is very likely that it is being generated by a development version of LWC, and it may include tags not included in the current release version. In addition, generated graphics may be different to the current release version.

Individual Stats
The STAT tag takes various parameters to determine what to display; the list of parameters starts and ends with a $ symbol.


The basic format is:

ITEM can be one of:
RAIN, TEMPERATURE, DEWPOINT, WINDCHILL, HEATINDEX, PRESSURE, WINDSPEED, AVERAGEWINDSPEED, WINDGUST, WINDDIRECTION, WINDRUN, EXTHUMIDITY, INTHUMIDITY, INTTEMPERATURE, UV, SOLAR or SUNSHINEHOURS.


TYPE can be one of:
CURRENT, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE, TOTAL.


PERIOD can be one of:
TODAY, YESTERDAY, THISWEEK, LASTWEEK, THISMONTH, LASTMONTH, THISYEAR, LASTYEAR, THISSEASON, ALLTIME.


By appending TIME we can display the time of the event:
STAT$ITEM:TYPE:PERIOD:TIME$

For example, to find the highest temperature today:
STAT$TEMPERATURE:MAX:TODAY$
STAT$TEMPERATURE:MAX:TODAY:TIME$.

CURRENT will display the real-time value of a given item. This is different to CT$ or CD$ etc. as those values are pulled from the database which has a resolution of 1 minute in LWC2.
In the case of CURRENT, the time field (TODAY, YESTERDAY etc) will be ignored and can be omitted.
To display the current outdoor temperature:

DELTA1 will display the 1 hour change of a given item.
For DELTA1 the time field (TODAY, YESTERDAY etc) will be ignored and can be omitted.

Tag Errors
Note that some configurations of this tag are invalid - in this case LWC will either allow the tag to be processed - for example:

Highest wind direction today = STAT$WINDDIRECTION:MAX:TODAY$ degrees returns an undefined value and is rendered as
'Highest wind direction today = 314.59 degrees'.

or it may render as an error. For example:
